Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, whohas been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape.
He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as knowing when to come in out of the rain, why the early bird gets the worm, life isn't always fair, and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you earn) and reliable parenting strategies (adults, not childrenare in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place.
Reports of a six-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job they themselves failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer Aspirin, sun lotion or a sticky plaster to a student; but could not inform the parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.
Common Sense lost the will to live as the Ten Commandments became contraband; churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't legally defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar can sue you for assault.Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement.
Common Sense was preceded in death by his parents, Truth and Trust; his wife, Discretion; his daughter, Responsibility; and his son, Reason. He is survived by three stepbrothers; I Know my Rights, Someone Else is to Blame, and I'm a Victim.
Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone.

Appointment TV
Appointment TV is when nothing else matters in the world, its just me and the boob tube. A lot of the television shows are silly and I won't be watching, but with the new Fall line up there are some that I can't help but tune in.
K'Ville Monday's 9:00PM FOX
Anthony Anderson plays Marlin Boulet, a veteran of the NOPD's Felony Action Squad, was left stranded in the waters by his partner, but still attempted to keep some little bit of order to all the chaos that was going on during the hurricane. He now has a new partner with ulterior motives, Trevor Cobb, who is fresh back from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. Together the two work the streets of New Orleans, trying to make it a better place. Helping them on their crusade are fellow officers Jeff Gooden, Captain James Embry, Billy Faust, and the lone female officer, Ginger LeBeau.K-Ville was shot on location in New Orleans. Jonathan Lisco, the series writer and executive producer, toured parts of New Orleans with actual New Orleans Police Officers before writing the pilot in hopes of making the series as real as possible.
Ugly Betty Thursday's 8PM ABC
Betty Suarez has always had one goal in life: to make it into the publishing business. Despite being smart, hard-working, and productive, her dream has always been shadowed by the fact that she isn't the best looking young woman. 24- Monday's 9pm FOX
24, last year’s most Emmy Award-winning television series with five Emmys, including Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series (Kiefer Sutherland) and Outstanding Drama Series, is one of the most innovative, thrilling and acclaimed drama series on television. Created by Joel Surnow and Robert Cochran, the series will retain its unique and trend-setting format in the seventh season. Each episode will cover one hour of real time, and the season’s entire story will take place in one day. Once again, viewers will follow Jack Bauer through a day that none of them will ever forget.
This is a old favorite, I hope they speed things up a lil bit, after a few episodes where they didnt blow anything up, it got slow and kinda stale. Im fan, so I will still suffer through with it.
Speaking of blowing things up...am I the only one that watches Mythbusters???

Special Insight
When someone you know begins to act funny towards you unbeknownst to
you, do not get mad at them simply laugh because some mysterious are
made to be comical. If or when they bring their annoyance to your
attention, apologize for the offense you have made but not for the
person you are! If you treat people the right way in any relationship
there is no acceptable reason why it should end the wrong way. Often
situations are taken out of content and are taken too personally
because one person if not both parties are dealing with that particular
personal issue within themselves. Try not to be insensitive about another
person's sensitivity, for what may be a joke to you could be death to
someone else. Some opinions are portrayed as facts and often opinions
are portrayed as judgments, both are from a personal point of view.
Should you have to determine that you dislike someone be certain that
it is because of a personal experience for which it has forced you to
oppose being fond of the person. We are all born with ready made
personalities which may very well conflict with another individual, the
chance of this happening is the same as midnight becoming a new day.
Learn to give a person, as much as they give you no more or less, there
is nothing unfair about an even exchange. Accept people for the person
they portray themselves to be because if they do present themselves as
having two sides to their being, they are the one that are bound to one
day forgetting which side is real. Hopefully by the end you will have
determined which side it is. In a feud pay close attention to your
behavior not the behavior of the opposing team, do not allow them to
puppet your actions; you cannot out a fire with gasoline. Any
relationship worth fighting for is worth keeping, pick your battles
wisely otherwise you will end up in war with yourself. Whatever happens
just make sure it is what you wanted to do; let everyone else do them
and you do you. A person can use up a lot of energy trying to be
someone whom they are not unaware that it requires great strength to be who
they really are! HAPPY FRIDAY

The Angels

You are in your car driving home. Thoughts wander to the game you want
to see or meal you want to eat, when suddenly a sound unlike any you've
ever heard fills the air. The sound is high above you.
A trumpet? A choir? A choir of trumpets?
You don't know, but you want to know. So you pull over, get out of
your car, and look up. As you do, you see you aren't the only curious one.
The roadside has become a parking lot. Car doors are open, and people
are staring at the sky. Shoppers are racing out of the grocery store. The
Little League baseball game across the street has come to a halt.
Players and parents are searching the clouds. And what they see, and what you
see, has never before been seen.
As if the sky were a curtain, the drapes of the atmosphere part. A
brilliant light spills onto the earth. There are no shadows. None.
From every hue ever seen and a million more never seen.
Riding on the flow is an endless fleet of angels. They pass through
the curtains one myriad at a time, until they occupy every square inch of
the sky.
North.
South.
East.
West.
Thousands of silvery wings rise and fall in unison, and over the sound
of the trumpets, you can hear the cherubim and seraphim chanting, Holy,
holy, holy. The final flank of angels is followed by twenty-four
silver-bearded elders and a multitude of souls who join the angels in worship.
Presently the movement stops and the trumpets are silent, leaving only
the triumphant triplet: Holy, holy, holy. Between each word is a pause.
With each word, a profound reverence. You hear your voice join in the
chorus. You don't know why you say the words, but you know you must.
Suddenly, the heavens are quiet. All is quiet. The angels turn, you
turn, the! entire world turns and there He is. Jesus. Through waves of
light you see the silhouetted figure of Christ the King. He is atop a great
stallion, and the stallion is atop a billowing cloud. He opens his mouth, and you
are surrounded by his declaration: I am the Alpha and the Omega.
The angels bow their heads. The elders remove their crowns. And
before you is a Figure so consuming that you know, instantly you know: Nothing
else matters. Forget stock markets and school reports.
Sales meetings and football games. Nothing is newsworthy. All that
mattered, matters no more...for Christ has come.
Please let me know the exact time you read this. It is mystical--
honest.
This morning when the Lord opened a window to Heaven, he saw me, and he
asked: My child, what is your greatest wish for today?
I responded: "Lord please; take care of the person who is reading this
message, their family and their special friends. They deserve it and I
love them very much".
The love of God is like the ocean, you can see its beginnings but not
its end.
QUICKIE.
Some quick random thoughts:
Why when I get back to the office after only one day of being gone...people want to act a fool, and it takes 2 days to get caught up on email and stuff?
Why when I finally get my ipod, Apple wants to come out with another smaller & cheaper one? (you betta believe Im taking it back)
Why is it when I finally make reasonable attempts to leave the guilty pleasure alone, new ones pop up? Same script, different cast. Ive gotta believe that the problem is me.
Why is it that even though her husband died, and she really didn't want to be on this side of life, when she finally got her wish..I will still miss her?
I posted a new video, didja see it???
Did you all check how many days are left until my birthday?
Did you even try to look at my wishlist?
Ill see you people later...have fun! Look in the archives, there are some "best of" the kalamazoo vixen that you may not have seen.
