This little chick's CD is SWEET!!! This is my favorite track off of her album "I AM" She's very mello, smooth singer reminiscent of a Sarah Vaughn or Etta James. This song is definitely a brides song if I have ever heard of one. Not that I want to be married, when I first heard it I knew this would be hot.
Her bio tells of her audition and signing with LA Reid & Babyface which is a wonderful collaborative duo for young singers, however their protege end up being bankrupt within a few years. I'm giving you the lyrics but you gotta hear the song. Simply Beautiful.

I shouldn't be commenting here since I'm kinda not speaking to you for the post BELOW this one...(LOL) I ought to take that picture and put it on my post...LOL.
Anyway... I've never heard of her until yesterday...she's going to be here on Friday with Musiq for this free concert series they have during the summer...I wasn't going to go, but now I might have to check her out...maybe me and 'dris' (that's what I call him) will go.

@JustMad - Go to Walmart and pick up her cd...I got it over the weekend for like 9.99, just a little for a lotta nice tracks. She may kick up a little more steam when the summer is over and the price will jump up. I heard that the concert series just left Detroit, and it will be nowhere around my neck of the woods so I have to live vicariously through you. So you better go.
I am waiting for her CD in the mail. I kept reading about her and never knew who she was. I heard her songs on the radio yet did not know who was the performer.
So I listened to her and I was blown away. I usually don't get caught in the hype but this young lady is talented. I hope she makes it real big and gives folks a lesson on real music.
